First Idea
Hiking is an amazing activity that takes place outside and can be managed into various levels of difficulty. The audience for this idea may be school administration family or parents. The purpose of this would be for adults to realize the benefits that come with encouraging students to participate in hiking. It involves amazing scenery, interaction with the environment, a good way to exercise, and an amazing learning opportunity.
Children would be given the opportunity to experience what the earth and nature has to offer through an
enjoyable experience. It could also make learning a fun experience and open up some opportunities for children to show interest in related subjects, such as environmental sciences or exploration.
I would most likely incorporate this idea into my photo project. Implementing various images of the scenery that are a part of the hiking experience as well as its ability to bring people together and prove as a enjoyable physical experience.
Second Idea
Wild horses benefits the environment and ecosystem in plenty of ways. The simple act of walking and eating rids the area of harmful weeds and allow for healthier flora to grow. Even their manure allows for the spreading of diverse seeds and provide soil for various regions. Horse are a very important organism on this planet. Horses deserve more than what they get. Their mistreatment and abuse is uncalled for.
The audience for this idea would most likely be the general public, animal lovers interested in the roles of animals, or people that think the common mistreatment of horses is okay. The purpose of this would be simply to convey information to the audience and even cause emotion in people to possibly fight the abuse that occurs towards horses.
I would probably use this idea for my video project, demonstrating the different ways that horse are mistreated and the toll it takes on the animals. Making this a bit darker of a theme and then coupling it with a light, brighter theme where many of the beautiful things that horses bring to this earth and the way they contribute to it are portrayed.
Third Idea
Self-defense and awareness classes could prove extremely useful in today's society. Learning the practice of carrying items, such as pepper spray or an emergency alarm could make a huge difference in certain offenses that take place. Learning how to recognize suspicious behavior or signs of bad intentions and knowing how to use your surroundings to either protect yourself or call for help would be very beneficial to anyone.
The audience targeted for this idea would be the general public. It would be a advantageous for people to learn this tactics and know how to use them in various situations that are possible to happen just about everywhere in the world. Having such classes offered in High Schools and in communities would be amazing and allow for all ages to learn different levels of self-defense and/or awareness. Anything, from good habits to have in an unknown area or when alone, to how to directly and actively defend yourself in various situations, can be learned from such opportunities. This kind of knowledge is valuable and should be taught more often than it actually is. The purpose of this idea is to invoke action or motivation to learn defense and protection.
This idea would most likely be used for my illustration project. I would be able to bring different symbols and illustrations that contain various meanings but also contribute to the overall idea of protecting ones self.
Fourth Idea
Yoga and/or meditation are extremely strengthening for the mind and body. It allows a person to learn control of both their mind and thoughts, as well as control of their body and balance. It can become a passion for some people, or a simple practice for others. Yoga has been known to reduce stress and anxiety as well as improve mental health and immunity.
The targeted audience of this idea would be people who struggle with anxiety or seek therapy for traumatic events. Yoga may prove beneficial in the healing processes of many injuries, including those physical, mental, and emotional. The purpose of this would be to encourage others to open themselves up to something new and give it a chance to provide restoration or growth.
I would incorporate this idea with either my photo project or illustration project. There are many different pictures and symbols that come from yoga or meditation and the benefits they contribute to, such as the brain and spirit. Involving many different colors would contribute nicely to these projects.
