For this image, I followed the opacity and blending tutorial, https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/how-to/opacity-blending-modes.html?playlist=/services/playlist.helpx/products:SG_ILLUSTRATOR_1_1/learn-path:key-techniques/playlist:topic/set-header:style-artwork/en_us.json&ref=helpx.adobe.com . In this tutorial I learned how to use the rotating tool to angle and copy the circle shape onto itself. I then simply played with the colors of each circle and blended them by changing the blending mode of the opacity option. After this, I used the direct selecting tool to pull the edges of each circle to a soft point, kind of like a flower petal. Lastly, I used the recoloring option to slightly change the colors to more pastel.
